Welcome to the ShotFlow Spotlight Series. Each month, we will highlight a member of the ShotFlow team — rookies and veterans! Not only to showcase the talents and professional experiences of our unique team, but what motivates us, how our professional journeys brought us together and fun tidbits about who we are!
ShotFlow Spotlight:
Ashley Snarski, TECHNICAL ACCOUNT MANAGER, Hufflepuff House PREFECT
Ashley Snarski started her role as Technical Account Manager on the Professional Services Team at ShotFlow in September 2022. But Ashley is no stranger to ShotFlow; she was a rockstar ShotFlow client and user in her “past life” and is taking the skills she learned from those past experiences to help shape ShotFlow’s approach to client success!
Ashley graciously found the time to sit down with me for a fun Q&A session. Read on below to learn more about “Ash”!
jEN: i bet you had big dreams when you were a kid. What did you want to be when you were small?
ASHLEY: Veterinarian of course, to help all the animals.
jEN: oh boy, can i relate to that!
next question: we all have different motivations to come to work every day. What motivates you to work hard?
ASHLEY: The People! Working together and collaborating towards a shared goal and the satisfaction of knowing that I’ve helped someone.
Jen: Who is your hero?
ASHLEY: My Grandma. She inspired my love for gardening, baking and cooking. Many of my childhood memories are filled with picking raspberries in the garden and helping make the family favorite jam. My Grandma also motivates me to just live life to the fullest. She loved being outdoors, whether it was a hike in the Cascade mountains or dog sledding in Alaska or even on the back of my grandpa’s motorcycle traveling cross country with their BMW motorcycle club. She was easily the coolest person I’ve known and it inspires me to continue to be adventurous and take risks.
JEN: that’s beautiful! It’s incredible that you have those special memories with your Grandma. she sounds like an amazing woman and role model.
next question! If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
ASHLEY: In a cabin in the woods, with a wood burning fireplace, a large garden and absolutely no neighbors. Just me, the husband and the cats. Ideally also near a lake or large body of water so I can do some paddle boarding.
JEN: that sounds so peaceful. len mizutowicz IS ALSO looking for a remote MOUNTAIN cabin to write HIS “manifesto.”
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
ASHLEY: Only one?! Choosing only one hurts my soul. I guess it would have to be tacos.
JEN:What is your favorite book to read?
ASHLEY: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I have re-read this Harry Potter book far more than any of the others. I will likely be picking up the books again soon to honor Hagrid. A sad week it has been for the Harry Potter fandom.
“I’ll not be here…but Hagrid will.”
– Robbie Coltrane
JEN: IT’S GREAT TO MEET A FELLOW POTTER-HEAD! I’LL SEE YOU AT THE UPCOMING ALUMNI QUIDDITCH TOURNEY AT ILVERMORY next month.
What is your favorite MUGGLE game or sport to watch AND play?
ASHLEY: I don’t watch it or play it as often anymore, but it would definitely be volleyball. I still fill in for some sand volleyball leagues, but I don’t play regularly anymore. Sand volleyball takes a toll on the body these days.
JEN: ON ANOTHER, NOTE..What would you sing at Karaoke night?
ASHLEY: I wouldn’t normally, but recently fellow colleagues convinced me to sing some tunes at the ShotFlow retreat. So I guess it would be Blink-182, Ramones and a little Brittany spears…
JEN: WHAT WAS YOUR MOST RECENT MOVIE EXPERIENCE?
ASHLEY: We went to the drive-in movie theater to see Grease 1 & 2!
From the classic drive-in theater speakers to the popcorn, burgers and rosé, and it was perfect in every way!
JEN: THAT’S A THROWBACK! I’VE NEVER EVEN BEEN TO A DRIVE-IN! GREASE IS THE WORD.
If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
ASHLEY: CLEANING- 100%. I love cooking and baking, and I have a husband that’s already great at yard work.
JEN: i couldn’t agree more…bandit helps a lot with the cleaning in this house.
And there you have it, folks!
Next time you see Ashley, be sure to ask her to sing her favorite song, Dzieci wybiegły.
