Scenes from Creative Supper Club

On its surface, Creative Supper Club is a networking event, but what I found most interesting was the nontraditional context. Typically, at a conference or trade show, we’d all be in work mode, presenting our most professional personas. But in my professional experience, some of the most valuable connections have also been very personal. And that’s what the Creative Supper Club helps to create. We’re removed from a traditional work context and we’re all just having dinner. We talked about non-work subjects and connected in a more natural way.

It was less like we were trying to expand our professional networks, and more like we were just meeting some new friends.

Benjamin Eppes, VP of Client Success

Pro to Meet:

Hi I’m Josh,

I’ve been a part of the Professional Photography industry since the dawn of the millennium, during which time I’ve worn many hats, from assistant to producer, leading corporate photo studios in e-commerce and retail.

I have spent the past decade leading corporate photo studios in the e-commerce and retail space. My time spent leading studio organizations within start-up and Fortune 500 companies, has honed my adaptability. I know how to pivot to each business’ needs and budget at that time, then change the plan completely when new factors come into play.

One thing I love about studio operations and management is the varied disciplines I get to work in. One minute I’m in an HR meeting, maybe a talent calibration session, the next it’s off to help troubleshoot capture issues on set. Once that’s resolved I might address samples management needs before digging in for some 2H budget planning and building the business case to support CAPEX for those new cameras.

Recently I’ve become very involved in not just how we make photography and content, but how we manage content made by others. I’ve worked to integrate VPI, UGC, Marketing/Editorial and PDP content together. How to manage an assortment of images from different sources, the tools for curating them together, tracking and routing through asset automation, then finally storing them in our DAM and getting the assets published to site/app and other channels.
