Our iOS app is getting a facelift this month with new ShotFlow branding, and a big new feature: create new shot lists in the app from Shot List templates. Now a user can scan a group of samples that need photography, and by selecting the appropriate shot list template, auto-assign only the relevant shots for those samples to the new shot list. This workflow is exponentially faster than shot list assignment via web browser, especially if different types of shots need assigned to their respective shot lists from the same group of samples.
For example, a rack of apparel samples will need both on-figure and flat shots, which will be shot on separate sets, and a new shot list must be created for each set. Scanning all the relevant samples on the iOS app once creates a “bucket” of source samples. A few taps generates a new on-figure shot list, as well as assigning all the on-figure shots for the scanned samples to the new shot list. A few more taps generates a new flats shot list, as well as assigning all the flat shots for the scanned samples to the new shot list. Elapsed time for the whole operation? Under a minute.
We have lots more in store for the 1.1 release coming this fall – including dynamic configuration of the iOS app experience based on user role!
